Build Confidence in Your Body - We begin your journey to an awesome birth by focusing on your mind-body connection so that you can feel calm and ‘in tune’ with yourself. In this step, we will undo years of ignoring your body so that you stop feeling frazzled at the end of the day and, more importantly, so that you can stay calm no matter what labor (and motherhood) throws at you! By establishing a strong foundation here, we will be setting the stage for the next step. (Plus: No more late night ice cream binges!)
Break Free from Fear & Doubt - Next, we gently but firmly address your fear/doubt/limiting beliefs head on. To experience a positive birth, you need to get the old, unhelpful beliefs out of the way. Any trauma or emotional pain will be _____ at this stage. If you don’t deal with it now, it will likely come up later when you’re not ready for it (think: shame, self-hatred, resistance to help or surrender). Rewiring your fears now allows you to make room for a blissful birth.
Rewire Your Brain - We create experiences in session, using science-backed techniques, to foster positive emotions about birth. Imagine enjoying your morning cup of coffee (or pregnancy tea), holding your round belly and smiling at the thought of laboring intuitively. This stage of coaching is where you can really let yourself explore what your ideal birth would be like and prepare your brain to expect safety throughout labor.
